Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 basic + Commission + Bonus (OTE £55,000 - £70,000+)

The Role

Our current Service Director is exceptional. Methodical, precise, deeply trusted by our clients, outstanding at process and delivery. He is the backbone of how we operate.

What he needs alongside him is someone who matches his standards but brings a different energy. Someone who is commercially alive. Someone who doesn't just manage service but drives it forward, owns client relationships, spots the opportunity in every conversation, and
closes.

This is a senior, client-facing Service Manager role. You will work directly with the Service Director to manage, grow, and retain a portfolio of contractor and employer clients. You will be responsible for service quality, client satisfaction, upselling, and revenue generation from your accounts.

What You Will Do

Client Relationship Management

• Own a portfolio of Genius Money clients end-to-end contractors, employers, compliance clients
  Be the primary point of contact: trusted, responsive, always on
• Conduct regular account reviews, proactively identify needs, and deliver solutions before problems arise
• Build the kind of relationships clients don't want to leave

Commercial Growth

• Identify and act on upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your portfolio compliantly, confidently
  Convert warm referrals and inbound enquiries into new service agreements
• Work alongside the Service Director to onboard new clients smoothly and profitably
• Contribute directly to revenue targets and GP growth your account performance is your score
  
  Service Delivery
• Manage service delivery to the highest standard, ensuring SLAs are met and exceeded
• Coordinate with payroll, compliance, and finance teams to resolve issues at pace
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and CRM data no shortcuts
• Represent Genius Money with professionalism and authority at every touchpoint

Strategy & Collaboration

• Partner closely with the Service Director complement his strengths, cover his blindspots, and support his vision
• Feed client insight back into the business to drive product and service improvement
• Play an active role in the MTD service launch this is a ground-floor opportunity

Who You Are

You've probably worked in one of these environments:

• Contractor services / umbrella payroll / workforce solutions
• Financial services or professional services account management
• Compliance, tax, or HR services client-facing
• Telecoms or utilities senior account management with commercial accountability

You will demonstrate:

• A proven track record in a senior account management or service management role
• Commercial results revenue grown, clients retained, accounts expanded
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-adjacent environments (desirable)
• Strong CRM discipline and data accuracy
• Emotional intelligence the ability to manage complex relationships under pressure

The Details

Location: Portsmouth (office-based)

Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00am to 5:30pm

Reporting to: Service Director / Operations Director

Start date: As soon as the right person is found
