On Wednesday 16th July, the Genius Workforce Solutions Group will be walking a half marathon around Portsmouth the raise money for Leo, a young local lad who unforunately earlier this year was diagnosed with stage 3 Burkitt’s lymphoma and since he has spent over six months as an inpatient undergoing intensive chemotherapy. It’s been an incredibly tough time for Leo and his family.
Leo's Mum shared:
“Leo has really suffered being inside hospital and we’ve already missed out on so much in his young life. He was diagnosed over Christmas, so we missed out on many of the festive activities. Leo would love to go to Centre Parcs with the family, he’s such an outdoor loving boy. Being outdoors is his happy, safe place. This trip would bring him joy, comfort, and help him rebuild his confidence and muscle strength.”
We plan to send Leo and his family to Centre Parcs in December where they can create new festive memories after missing out last year due to his diagnosis.
